In order for converter to charge batteries does it need shore power and do batteries to be connected?

You forgot the lock bolt that goes under the quick release pin to mack sure the tire doesn't unlock and fall to the ground. That's probably the most important feature of this product. I have a 305x70x22.5 on mine and it takes a little bit to lift it down and up ,but it's worth it.

If you have a bad battery even when your camper is plugged in to electric will this cause the legs not to move up and down an make the motor would very sluggish and a grindy sound. And your landing gear won't work

Can the battery be on win I'm charging it at home for a couple days it was said low on my battery it's been plugged in for three day and still say low on it so i have it plugged in still

Good afternoon I have a domestic refrigerator freezer runs on propane and an electricity my question is if my house batteries are low the reading 12.50 % is that stopping my propane from lighting because it'll light and run for a while and then I'll go off and if I open a refrigerator the light is blinking I had my battery's tested I'm not overcharged but it seems like my starting battery is up there to 13 1/2 but my chassis batteries are two 6 volt batteries are in a 12 range and I'm wondering if that's causing my propane tank or my propane flame to shut off and on

How do I know what kind of rv converter I have? You mentioned multi-stage converter will adjust charge so not to over charge a battery. I have a 2006 30-amp fifth wheel. I would like to upgrade to multi stage converter. What should I do?

The oil is like a grease, so regular soap will not break it down. Use a degreaser soap like Lava or Gojo.

Here is my theory regarding your claim that batteries should always be on. Im not 100% convinced that a converter on its own, running solely with no battery backup has the potential to run at such a high level that is problematic after the jacks have already been lowered and slide outs are slid out. Here is why: Let's say for example that one plugs into shore power with the batteries fully charged and performs the above tasks. The only things left to power with DC at this point would be fans and lights. If at this point you close the battery disconnect and run off of the converter then the converter will actually be working less hard because it will not have to use part of its converting power to continue trickle charging batteries while running lights and fans. Any fluctuations in AC shore power are not going to interfere with a converters ability to run just lights and fans. Then when your rolling up turn the batteries on perform the above mentioned tasks in reverse and drive away while your trucks alternator charges your batteries on your way home. (If your set up for it) If the batteries even need charged. Which my bet is they won't. Thanks Conner

I have to laugh at "Living on 30 amps.". The wife and I live on solar and diesel alone. The entire house is low voltage with a 2000 watt inverter. The refrigerator? 12 volt marine. Heating and cooking is accomplished using diesel fired appliances. 98% of the time we get all our electrical power from solar. charged batteries. One of these days the RV manufacturers will turn away from building RV electrical systems like a sticks and bricks house and evolve to solar/LED/Lithium power sources.

What weight distribution systems are you guys utilizing.?? I tried to buy one today for an ultra light rv I’m going to buy but the tong weight capacity is not low enough and my Tacoma says with almost anything. Any ideas.??

Flex armor roofs are absolutely the best. I had mine installed in Denton TX and love it. Such a load off my mind since roof damage is a thing of the past.

Best roof ever!!! We had ours done at Elite RV in Palmetto FL and it is everything they say it is.

DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND OF RV, Gulf Stream RV's look nice, and they draw your attention with their low price tag. That all comes at a major cost, Gulf Stream RV's are terrible quality RV's. Gulf Stream claims "strong wood roof decking, screwed and glued in place" that is not the case at all. I have been up on roofs of Gulf Stream travel trailers and the roof decking is very very thin and buckles under me, and no i'm not overweight that it buckled under me. Gulf Stream RV's are well known for terrible workmanship, the whole RV is held together with staples, wiring issues, lights not working, propane issues, poor sealant work from the factory causing severe water damage and mold within a month of ownership, plumbing issues, in one case the shower drained into the black tank, and a buyer of a Gulf Stream had found small wood chippings in his tanks when he dumped them, and much much more. Gulf Stream is a horrible manufacture, Gulf Stream takes no pride in their company and their product. Look up RV INSIDER and type in GULF STREAM, and a whole bunch of reviews will come up. People who bought Gulf Stream RV's are out of camping because of all the issues they had. Please save yourself the nightmare of Gulf Stream RV. I recommend- Forest river-rockwood, flagstaff, wildwood/salem, geo pro, grey wolf, COACHMEN- clipper/viking, catalina, freedom express, northern spirit, apex. KEYSTONE, JAYCO. AVOID- Dutchmen, GULF STREAM, K-Z, heartland, any keystone passport RV older than 2019 model year because they don't have walk on roofs. East to west, della terra-major plumbing issues.
